FRANCE: Tecumseh opens bespoke production line.

Tecumseh's factory in Cessieu, France, features a flexible manufacturing line that it uses to create unique condensing units for OEM clients.

Along with technical support to enable quick requirement evaluation and quote with drawing approval, the new dedicated flexible manufacturing line is built to suit OEM clients' project requirements.

Tecumseh claims that these customised alternatives have manufacture lead times that are intended to be comparable to those of regular manufacturing lead times.

Although Tecumseh takes pride in offering a wide selection of basic condensing units, the business is frequently asked to give alternatives. Tecumseh claims that the production of unhoused condensing units is actually still increasing, despite market signs that suggest the packed product is becoming more and more popular throughout Europe.

In a recent instance of flexible manufacturing, a UK wholesaler inquired about an OEM customer's order that needed alterations to an already-existing standard condensing unit. The client requested changed piping to make the current fabrication of a module used for an ice bath application easier, as well as the replacement of the receiver and the addition of a schrader valve for charging.

Following a requirement-clarification conference with the OEM customer, Tecumseh's engineering team presented options for review. The OEM customer was able to prepare for quick growth and the supply of a new product to worldwide markets after the customer approved the changed product.
